Long Island Iced Tea

Long Island Iced Tea

An unusual blend of vodka, gin, tequila, rum and orange liqueur with cola, the Long Island Iced Tea flavours of vanilla and lightly tannic wood make it taste a little like tea, but in fact they come from a mix of quality aged spirits.

Ingredients

Serves:

1

3 units of alcohol per serve

Equipment

  • 1 x Tall glass

  • 1 x Strainer

  • 1 x Jigger

  • 1 x Knife

  • 1 x Chopping Board

Method

  • Ice

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.

  • Pour

Using a jigger, measure 17.5ml Captain Morgan Spiced, 17.5ml vodka, 17.5ml London Dry Gin, 17.5ml orange liqueur, 17.5ml Blanco Tequila, 17.5ml sugar syrup, 15ml lemon juice and 17.5ml lime juice into a shaker.

  • Mix

Shake the mixture vigorously until the surface of the cocktail shaker feels chilled. Use a cocktail strainer to strain the liquid into a Highball glass filled with cubes of ice. Pour cola into the drink to fill to the top of the glass.

  • Garnish

Cut a slice of lemon with a sharp knife on a chopping board and place in the drink to garnish.

  • Grab a bite

Get some grub in before or while you’re drinking – it slows alcohol absorption.
